We are happy to announce that we have begun restoring There is a lot of history here and we are humbled to have the opportunity to continue the work many of our prosecuted brothers and sisters began. The Anonymous Solidarity Network is reorganizing under the close advisement of founding members, Nancy Norelli Esq. and Jeremy Hammond, and we eagerly seek public participation. If you have questions or would like to learn how you can help, please contact us. We owe an enormous debt to AnonOps and to all that have taken on the cause of supporting our fallen comrades. We stand in solidarity with all arrested anons and we are grateful for those that have stood with us.

We are the Anonymous Solidarity Network. We stand in solidarity with all arrested anons. We stand firm in our belief that hacktivists are not criminals and that hacktivism is not a crime. We stand in remembrance of Aaron Swartz as we say that information wants to be free and that those who liberate it are heroes. We set our sails in a sea of troubled waters and hoist high a black flag. We will not allow the rebellion to end so long as our brothers and sisters are held captive. To those who seek to prosecute us we have a warning. Our numbers fluctuate and our causes are often chaotic but there is one cause for which we all agree: FreeAnons! Our cause orchestrates an unorganized and leaderless collective. Until all Anons are free we will attest to the Anonymous creed. We do not forgive. We do not forget. If you are being prosecuted for involvement in hacktivism please contact us. We will stand in solidarity with you!

Welcome Home Barrett Brown

Barrett Brown is free!  Finally, and upon release our friend wasted no time making his way to the nearest McDonald’s to take in the (apparently) missed delight of a greasy breakfast. More than 4 years of questionable confinement for a crime you didn’t commit, and being convicted of multiple, seemingly made-up-on-the-spot charges, can make a fella hungry. Barrett was released, early and with conditions, after serving much of his nearly 5 year sentence in Three Rivers federal correctional institution in San Antonio with good behavior. Freeanons and all of AnonOps would like to extend our support, as well as the finest chefs The Internet Hate Machine can manage to our friend.

Consequently, we’d also like to remind our readers and supporters of the near $900,000 dollar restitution Barrett is ordered to pay. The required $200.00 monthly installments are to Stratfor, the intelligence firm he accused of significant corruption during his #ProjectPM investigation. You can read more about it at

For those who aren’t aware, Barrett was arrested in 2012, following a raid executed on his Mother’s home.  One of his convictions (Interference of a search warrant) stemmed from this raid when he attempted to hide a laptop in a kitchen cupboard, from authorities. 11 other charges were included in his subsequent indictment, the most ridiculous involving his copying a link from one public channel to another on AnonOps IRC. The link contained the credit card data of a massive cyber-attack upon Stratfor, an attack Barrett had nothing to do with, but is nonetheless being held financially accountable for.  In the end, Barrett bowed his head and took one for the team, quite literally when he plead guilty to the previously mentioned charge, as well as transmitting a threat in interstate commerce, and being an accessory after the fact in the unauthorized access to a protected computer.

The now released, award winning, McMuffin lovin’ journalist managed to keep himself (and the rest of us) well entertained during his incarceration. You can find his full commentary at the following link, where his musings were published via The Intercept:

Welcome home, Barrett. We hope you’re enjoying #BathtubsForBarrett as much as we are!

They Need To Hear From You

They Need To Hear From You

Hello to everyone and thank you for taking the time to read another post about a jailed hacktivist languishing in an American prison.  It’s starting to sound like we can just copy and paste with nothing more than a name change these days.  Jeremy Hammond 10 years, Matt DeHart 7 years, Barrett (he’s a damned Journalist ffs) more than 5 years and Timothy Justin French who is sitting in prison, still awaiting sentencing, and facing up to 10 years in prison.  In addition to hacktivists, we have seen good people like our always loved Stanley Cohen,  our dear friend John Kiriakou, Thomas Drake and Jeffrey Sterling serve time in prison, having their lives destroyed because they pissed in someone’s Wheaties.

Freeanons supported the PayPal 14 and the Payback 13 as they fought their way through ridiculous legal cases for what amounted to nothing more than simply standing up for what they believed in.  The extreme burden of defending oneself in these cases took the life of a member of the Payback and PayPal case and we mourn the loss to this day.  We’ve welcomed many home from prison and are overjoyed when the government is willing to release them back home to their families and loved ones but there are more and they need all of us.

We come to you today asking for your help.  There are young men, strong men, sitting in prison serving years and years of time and fighting for their own sanity.  All that they have that resembles goodness is their families and you.  They need to hear from you.  Freeanons asks you to write to them.  They ALL need to hear from you.  Perhaps we can ask that you chose one per week and strike up a conversation.  One may not be able to write back because we do not believe he has stamp money but don’t let that stop you from reminding him that he is not forgotten.

We cannot do this alone.  We NEED, no, THEY need your help.  We ask you for nothing more than support for those who would surely support you if you were in their shoes.  If we pick up our pens and add words to paper, you can show our incarcerated anons that anons everywhere mean what they say and say what they mean;  We do not forgive, We do not forget.

Please write to our friends or send a simple card.  Tell them you have not forgotten them.

Thank you as always for your support of Freeanons and your support of those jailed for standing up for what they believe in.

Splendid Spoon Is In Need Of Support

Lauren Pespisa, aka Splendid Spoon, a friend to so many, has been jailed in Massachusetts.  You may recognize Lauren from the documentary The Hacker Wars if you are not already familiar with this beautiful lady.  All who know Lauren will attest to the love they have for her.  She’s been committed to change for as long as we’ve known her.  She is our family and at this time, she finds herself alone and in prison.  Lauren is in dire need of your letters of support and love.  We ask you at this time to please do not allow your comrade to feel alone and forgotten.  Grab a pen and paper and send her a message.

To our dear friend Splendid Spoon…..We love you, we miss you and we will not forget you.  Get your ass back to us soon.

We are Freeanons and we will not rest until all anons are free.
