Tune into Lorax Live this Friday night at 9 p.m. est for one of Lorax’s always fantastic interviews, this time with Adam Nafa. Adam was charged by the United States for posting a video to Youtube, to promote #Operation Telecom, which was a protest against Verizon’s systematic corporate greed, and their efforts to have the FCC’s Net Neutrality Act overturned. Adam was charged for conspiracy to damage a protect computer, 18 U.S.C. 1030 (c)(4)(B) (i) and (ii), an attempt to damage. No attack on Verizon’s systems ever took place.

We consider Adam’s charges to be some of the most significant against Anonymous, under the statute, in the United States to date. His charges reflect an attempt by the United States government to criminalize even the thought of protest. In sum, his charges reflect a DOJ that considers mere presence in an irc channel, or video production, a criminal act.. In that, his case was much like Christopher Weatherhead’s.

Adam’s case did not go trial. Instead, on 5/2/13, Adam pleaded guilty to one count of 18 U.S.C. 1030. It is a travesty that he was obligated to do so in order to avoid the risk of trial and years of prison. Please tune into Lorax at Friday evening, November 29th, to hear his story.

The case of Jeremy Hammond will be discussed on Radio AnonOps with @loraxlive tonight at 8:00 p.m EST. If you don’t know about this case, now is a great time to get caught up. • Sue Crabtree joined Lorax on Anonops Radio Thursday night, November the 22nd of 2012, to discuss Jeremy’s bail hearing and the great injustices that surround Jeremy’s case. Many serious concerns have been raised regarding Jeremy’s case and those responsible for trying it; Such as, the judge’s relationship with Strafor. Loretta A. Preska is the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and a former nominee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

    Preska, presiding over Jeremy’s case, also recently denied Jeremy bail. Preska is married to Thomas J. Kavaler, with whom she attended law school. Information leaked from the very hack Jeremy is being prosecuted for shows that Thomas J. Kavaler is affiliated with Stratfor;

    Strafor, of course, is the intelligence company Jeremy is alleged to have hacked.The concerns raised during this interview, which have been documented by the Anonymous collective, are worthy of media attention. Jeremy deserves a fair trial! We, the Anonymous Solidarity Network, will not rest until there is justice for Jeremy! Absolute justice for Jeremy and all Anons facing prosecution. We will not settle for less and unless Jeremy is heard we will continue to voice our concerns. We will continue to contribute and continue to find fault in the contributions of those prosecuting our brothers and sisters!

    – We will not forgive.
    – We will not forget.
    – We are Anonymous!
